The Children's Museum

Today we went out for brunch and to the Children's Museum with Eddie, Airika and Fletcher. Next week Eddie will be moving to NYC to start his new dream job with the Yankees and sometime soon Airika and Fletcher will be joining him. We are so excited for them but we sure are going to miss them. Luckily Airika's mom lives here so they should be back once in a while and we plan on taking advantage of our new connections in NY :) We also celebrated a certain BIG birthday of Airika's. I won't say how old she is but let's just say it's not 29!!
Fin and Fletch had a blast and I took a ton of pics so enjoy!!
Playing in the soap suds in the water room.

I wish I knew how to get these pics to post in order!! These are Fin's teeth. She still has only the top 2 so it looks kind of funny. Hopefully she'll get some on the bottom too! Oh and the big green thing in her mouth is her new toothbrush. She LOVES brushing her teeth.

Another water station. She loved playing in the water exhibits!

There was a mini town for tots. It was so cute to watch her push the grocery cart around the store and fill it with toy food.

Playing doctor in the mini clinic. Notice the passy. This was towards the end of the day and the crabbiness was starting to set in.

Cooking in the restaurant.

Fletcher showing off his chef skills!

Dressed up like an airplane pilot.

Choosing her fruits carefully.

Just doing a little shopping.

Fleth also helped out with the groceries.

Playing in the Habitot room.

Playing in the ball room.

Snake Sense. I did NOT let her touch the snake!
Watching Snake Sense.

Last night Gary and Beth had a bunch of us cousins over for dinner. It was wonderful and Tara brought chocolate pie for dessert to top off dinner. Finley dove into mine face first and after I cut her off Uncle Aaron decided she needed a little more.
Next week we are going home to ND for 5 days. We can't wait and Finley is so excited to see her grandparents!! We wish everyone Happy Thanksgiving!!

It's Been a While...

but there just isn't much going on around here. Finley is now a toddler. Technically she has been a toddler for a few months but to me she was still a baby. Lately it's hard to see a baby. She's walking more and talking. She says oh-oh, baby, puppy, hi and the old standbys, Mama, Dada etc. Her two top teeth are pretty much all the way through. She's just getting to be such a big girl!!
As much as I miss the baby stage, I am also loving this new stage. I just love watching her figure things out and try new things. It' so great to see the world through a child's eyes!
Other than that...BORING!!! And I like it that way. It's nice to just be home because once the holiday season officially arrives it's always pure chaos! Between the trips home, holiday parties and shopping it gets so crazy!
Here are a few pics from the past couple weeks.
Last night we went to The Cheesecake Factory with Aaron and Ally. As you can see Finley had a great time and was such a good girl.

She was dancing to the music.

She LOVES playing with Finley. They'd be best friends if Mavis actually liked the hugs and kisses:) Luckily Mavis is the most patient dog and usually puts up with her for a few minutes before she walks away.

Halloween and a Visit From Grandma and Grandpa

This weekend Grandma and Grandpa Wald came down to spend time with us and watch Finley while Cody and I attended some Halloween festivities. As usual we had lots of fun and enjoyed spending time with the fam.
My silly girl and her crazy curly hair!

Hangin' with Grandpa.

Goofing around.

And of course we had to do a little shopping!! Grandma and I just couldn't resist the (fake) fur leopard vest.

On Friday night we attended a Halloween party at Eddie and Airika's house. It was great fun and I have to say Cody and I did pretty good at Tippy Cup! We took second place twice. Not bad for a couple beginners!

Finley lovin' up on her baby.

Our Tippy Cup team (minus Cody because he was the designated keg man and was busy filling up the cups.)

And our costumes. If you can't tell, I'm Rainbow Brite and Cody was my sidekick Buddy Blue. Finley couldn't quit staring at us!

Fin sleeping with her baby.

Grandma made apple pie and was peeling apple. Finley decided she was going to help. Too cute!
Thanks again to Grandma and Grandpa coming down and watching Finley. It's always more fun to go out when you know she's with family!
