Merry Christmas!
Tonight we opened presents with Nana And Papa Schmidt and once again Finley got a little spoiled.
Grandma and Finley
It's not the best picture but this is Finley's Christmas dress that she got from Grandma Deb.
And we've started solids!! Finley has fallen behind on the growth charts so the pediatrician said it was time. She loves the banana flavored rice cereal. As you can see she is still a bit messy!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas.
Happy Holidays from the Schmidt's!

The Nutcracker
Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt are here for Christmas and today we went downtown to Macy's where they have The Nutcracker set up and you walk through the scenes. Finley loved watching the dolls move and all of the sparkly snow. We had so much fun.
Of course Grandma couldn't help spoiling Finley just a little bit and when she saw this she had to have it! it is a snowman snowsuit. It is absolutely adorable and so soft and snuggly.

On a different note, we are moving out of our townhouse on the 31st. Long story short, we will be living with some friends for a while and then hopefully getting a house so until then there probably won't be many posts but I'll do my best to keep the blog updated.

Back to work!
Daddy puts Finley down to bed every night. It's kind of become their thing. He puts her in her swaddler and they rock and watch TV.
I have been going to a baby and me aerobics class and Finley usually wants to be held during the class. So I was participating as much as possible while holding her and she was sucking on my arm. When I pulled her away this is what she had done to my arm. That's a strong suck!
She's really starting to like dolls. She sucks on the head of this doll which I guess means "I like" in baby language.
Well last weekend was my official first day back at work. Luckily she was with Cody and he brought her up to see me. It was hard but I kept the tears to a minimum. As hard as it is I am glad to be back and doing what I love and at the end of the day I am blessed enough to be coming home to my beautiful baby girl!

Happy Turkey Day Uncle Travis and Aunt Sarah!
Here is a little video of Finley enjoying her mobile. Sorry, it's sideways for part of the video. I tried to fix it but I'm just not that smart! Just tilt your head and enjoy.
We miss you Sarah and Travis! Wish you could be here. We love you guys!

A Trip Home
Cody had a few days off last week so we made a last minute decision to go home for a few days. We spent 2 nights in Glen Ullin just relaxing and letting Finley hang with her Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt and we were even able to see Great-Grandpa Bennie. It was a great couple of days and Finley loves any chance she can get to snuggle with Grams and Poppa.
We also stayed in Bismarck with Grandma Deb and Grandpa Rod. They have a bouncy chair for her and as you can see she loves it.

10 Weeks!
Daddy and Finley lounging together.
This week we found these things called BabyLegs. They are like leg warmers for babies. It keeps their legs warm and you don't have to take them off for diaper changes. I just think they're cute. She has a striped pair and and argyle pair.
Finley loves her Baby Einstein play gym from Nanna Donna. She is now coordinated enough to hit some of the toys.

She has also become quite the TV watcher. She decided to take a time out from the play gym to watch a little America's Next Top Model.
Finley is growing and changing everyday. She is sleeping better at night and following more of a schedule. She smiles all the time and is really working on her hand eye coordination. Cody and I love watching her grow and learn all about this world. It is amazing to see the world through a baby's eyes!

Week 9!!
There are Dalmatians and fire hydrants on the mobile and she just stares at the dogs. When the mobile stops she smiles at it and talks to the Dalmatians.
This week Finley had her 2 month well baby check-up. Everything checked out ok but she did get her 2 month immunizations. She was smiling and cooing at me when the shot was given and then she just screamed. I felt so bad and yes if you must know mommy cried too.

The Week at Grandma and Grandpa's!
She has discovered her fists.
She loves, loves, loves being naked. She just kicks her legs and arms and coos. Hopefully this won't last into her teen age years!

Finley and I had lots of fun at Grandma and Grandpa Wald's house. We ran a lot of errands with Grandma (shopping) and made a trip to Glen Ullin. It was a great week but Daddy sure is glad to have his little girl back home.
