Impatiently Waiting

I am 38 weeks 3 days and no sign of a baby yet. I had an appointment on Wednesday and I am still 1cm, 70% effaced and the baby has moved from a -3 to a -2 station. So in other words...not much progress :( I am trying to to keep myself busy by going to the gym and walking and working as much as I can but the waiting is hard!

Hopefully not much longer!!

Full Term!!

I'm 37 weeks today which means I am officially full term! We are ready for her to make her appearance at any time. Last week I had my first weekly appointment and unfortunately there isn't much going on with my cervix. I am 0 cm dilated and the baby is still not in my pelvis but my cervix is 50% thinned. This probably doesn't mean much to most of you so in English...she's happy inside!

I know I said no bare belly shots but let's be honest it's not really my belly anymore, so for the first and last time here is my uncovered 37 week baby belly. Hopefully there will soon be pics of the baby in my arms instead of my belly!!

A Busy Weekend!

36 Weeks!

Betty Chin (aka Steph) came to our nail party and did mani/pedis for Jacque and I.

Steph and Jacque made me post this pic of me attempting to cut my toenails. It was quite the feat to reach my toes but I was able to contort myself enough to get it done!

On Friday night we took the train downtown and went out to eat at Zelo.

On Thursday my co-workers had a baby shower for me and once again the baby and I were thoroughly spoiled. Both my mom and my mother-in-law were in the cities for the shower. They left on Friday morning just as Steph and Jacque were flying in from Chicago for a girl's weekend. We had a lot of fun going out to eat, shopping and just hanging out! Unfortunately the massages didn't work out so well. Sorry girls. I owe you!

The Nursery!

This week Donna and Doug (Grandma and Grandpa Schmidt) are spending the week with us. Donna and I have done a little shopping and the boys have taken in a Twins game, but the best thing we did is set up the nursery! I absolutely love it! Donna painted the room, made the curtains and made the wall hangings. We all helped put together furniture and decorated. Now the only thing we need is the rocker (and the baby of course!) Before we know it she'll be sleeping in here!

The Lake

Yesterday we went to Gary and Beth's for a barbecue. Sarah and Brian were home and we were able to meet baby Brogan for the first time. He snuggled right up and took a nap. He is the first baby in 7 years in the Bosch family and I can't wait to add another.

Aaron, Mavis and I (Cody was working) joined the Wald clan at the lake for a few days. The weather was perfect and the company was pretty good too ;)

Avery loved Mavis and I'm pretty sure Mavis felt the same way about her.

Shari was nice enough to throw a baby shower for the baby and I. Once again we were completely spoiled and received all kinds of wonderful gifts. Thanks Ladies!!

Vacation is hard work!

Mavis LOVED the water. She can't swim (it's a bulldog thing) but she sure enjoys the shallow water.

And of course the belly picture. Can you believe I'm 34 weeks! Only 3 weeks and I'll be considered full term. I can't wait!

Baby Shower!

Today was our first baby shower in Bismarck. My Mom's neighbor Carol hosted it and coincidentally, her daughter went into labor this morning with their first grandchild. She had a baby girl at 12:10 and the shower was at 2:00, so needless to say it was quite a hectic and exciting day for the Millers!!

The shower was very fun and I now realize all of the organizing that needs to be done before this baby comes! Thanks to everyone who came and to those who couldn't make it we missed you!

31 Weeks!

This weekend Mom and Dad (Grandma and Grandpa Wald) came to the cities for uncle Brian's 40th Birthday party. In addition to the party Mom and I were able to fit in a little shopping and made a few purchases for the nursery. The guys chose to skip out on the shopping and played some golf instead. Pretty boring if you ask me! I'd much rather be shopping for the baby.
